Nose
Rich, dark and highly aromatic. It opens with raisins, treacle, dark chocolate and orange peel. Underneath there is a distinct malty sweetness with roasted coffee notes, cinnamon and a touch of polished oak.
Palate
Full bodied, thick and mouth coating. The heavy worm tub spirit provides a strong, rustic backbone that carries intense flavours of fruitcake, roasted nuts, bitter espresso and a sweet sherry spice. A sweet & sour fruit balance meets with a decadent caramel layer.
