Nose
Oaky Shiraz, deep vanilla and stewed red berries mingling with orchard fruits. Very slight smokiness with a sweet scent, reminiscent of slightly burnt candy floss.
Palate
Salted caramel with pink grapefruit with a slight cooling menthol note. Cocoa dusted walnuts with the red berries prominent. A few drops of water amplifies the sweetness of stewed fruits, plums and cherries. An engaging layered dram.
Maturation
Ex Bourbon hogshead finished for 6 years in 1st fill Spanish oak Oloroso hogshead
